Introduction

This is the fourth consecutive year that Enterprise First United Methodist Church has published a high quality, reflective guide for our devotional use during the Season of Lent. As I looked back over the 140+ pages written by different individuals for the first 3 issues I came to appreciate the deep spirituality of those who bared their souls as they shared from their persona lexperience of life and how they related them to the scriptures they chose. I’m moved and thankful that another 47 of you have stepped up and proven to be equal to the task!
I know that many of you have set time apart each day for Scripture and inspirational reading and for reflection and prayer. For you this will be a fresh resource to use in place of, or in addition to, your regular material. If you are like many who haven’t yet developed a habit of daily devotion this will be just the booklet you need to get started during Lent 2012. Either way I would encourage us all to focus daily between now and Easter on prayer, repenting for failures and sin and on the need for God’s grace in our lives. Let’s ensure that we are indeed ready to celebrate God’s marvelous redemption at Easter, and the resurrected life that we live, and hope for, as Christians.
