The Traditional Worship Services are held in our historic Sanctuary. Steeped in tradition and symbolism, the heart of First United Methodist brings people together every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Music Minister Rev. Billy Luttrell leads the chancel choir and congregation in song using the United Methodist Hymnal and special music programs. Notes from the pipe organ and grand piano fill the Sanctuary and are sometimes joined by traditional instruments such as the flute, violin, and hand bells.
Our Traditional Worship Service honors the formal order and setting of centuries of Methodist worship. Liturgists and young acolytes assist in the service with text readings and the lighting of the candles. The *Affirmation of Faith, The Lord's Prayer, and the Doxology are a part of each service. EFUMC's Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor take turns delivering the sermon and leading special events such as Baptisms and new memberships.
The first Sunday of each month is Communion Sunday. As United Methodists, we believe in open Communion, and the table is open to all who wish to take part in the sanctity of the Body and Blood of Christ.
We hope you will join us as we share in the history and tradition of worship at First United Methodist Church of Enterprise.
